9th International Shaolin Tai JI & Qi Gong summer camp in Greece

The 9th International Shaolin Tai Ji & Qi Gong Summer Camp took place in Greece from 6 to 11 July 2026, offering an annual wellness retreat dedicated to the balance of mind and body. Inspired by the ancient traditions of Shaolin Gong Fu (Kung Fu), Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi), and Qi Gong, the camp was held in the beautiful natural surroundings of mountainous Corinthia under the guidance of Christos Panagopoulos (Yan Shan).

The training programme included classical forms of Traditional Shaolin Gong Fu, Wing Chun, and Tai Ji Quan. The daily schedule was also enriched with Qi Gong practices such as Yi Jin Jing, known as the Muscle and Tendon Change Classic; Wu Qin Xi, the Five Animals exercises designed to support and regulate the internal organs; and Liu Zi Jue, the Six Healing Sounds practice used to release stagnant or negative Qi from the body.

In addition to the main training sessions, each evening featured a special activity that gave participants the opportunity to explore a variety of subjects related to the spirit, body, health, and personal well-being. These activities included basic massage techniques for health and relaxation, Chan meditation in the magnificent surroundings of Lake Doxa, hiking through the nearby natural landscape, presentations on interesting topics, and other cultural and wellness-related experiences.

There could hardly have been a more suitable place for practice, reflection, and contemplation than nature itself. Away from the noise and pressures of everyday life, participants were able to cleanse and refresh both mind and body, while dedicating themselves continuously and without distraction to their training.

The camp concluded with renewed inspiration, meaningful experiences, and the promise of meeting again the following year with an even richer and more practically beneficial programme, based on the treasures of Shaolin Kung Fu culture and much more.
